The post showed photos of a baby with the rapper’s face photo-shopped over the infant.
But 50 Cent’s rep tells AccessHollywood.com that he “did not post the image. He was not mocking Jay-Z or Beyonce but instead was trying to discourage his followers from doing so.”
After Tweeting a link to the pictures, along with the message, “[Y’all] play [too] much congratulations to JAYZ and Beyonce BABY #BlueIvyCarter IS GEORGOUS,” 50 said he only re-Tweeted the photos in an effort to stop his fans from ridiculing the newborn.
“I would never make a picture like that its all over my time line,” he later wrote. “[Y’all] play [too] much I’m sure Jay is the happiest he’s ever been in his life.”
The “In Da Club” rapper also remembered his own fond memories of becoming a first-time father.
“I remember when MARQUISE was born I was so happy,” 50 Tweeted. “I want to have another kid one day.”
