NEW YORK, N.Y. --

Several of Mike Wallace’s former colleagues and his son, Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, are gathering to pay tribute to the former fixture of the CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes.”

Wallace died at age 93 on April 7.

His fearless interviewing style for years made him the most visible personality of television’s most enduring magazine show. Tuesday’s memorial service was taking place at the Time Warner Center, several blocks from the CBS headquarters where Wallace worked.

Besides his son, current CBS News Chairman and “60 Minutes” Executive Producer Jeff Fager is scheduled to speak. So are the show’s longtime correspondents Morley Safer and Steve Kroft.
