In honor of the news that ABC is letting go of Dr. Erica Hahn on “Grey’s Anatomy,” ending her budding romance with Dr. Callie Torres – I have come up with a list of the 15 most awkward couples on TV right now.
Dr. Erica Hahn and Dr. Calle Torres (“Grey’s Anatomy”) - Unfortunately, Erica and Callie’s friendship-turned-romance was a disaster from the start. The whole storyline just took us into TMSI (too much sexual information) territory, which turned fans off rather than on. “Grey’s” should look at how the romance is playing out between Kevin Walker and his love, Scotty, on “Brothers and Sisters” for how to portray a proper gay couple.
And speaking of “Grey’s Anatomy” let me also mention two other awkward couples…

Jennie Garth’s “90210” character may have served as the bridge between her show and it’s older counterpart, “Melrose Place,” back in the day, but the actress wants no part of the new CW remake in 2008.
Jennie’s Kelly Taylor character introduced fans to motorcycle-riding rebel Jake Hanson, played by Grant Show, on the original “90210,” which lead to the spin-off “Melrose Place,” but the actress told E!‘s Michael Yo that fans should not expect to see her on the other side of Robertson Blvd on the “Melrose” remake.

Actress Bonnie Somerville and a friend were robbed at gunpoint just outside of a celebrity-filled bash in Hollywood early Saturday morning, a rep for the star confirmed to Access Hollywood.
The former “Friends” guest star (who played Ross’ girlfriend Mona on the show’s eighth season) and a male companion were leaving the T-Mobile G1 launch party at Hollywood’s Siren Studios, when they were accosted, according to the rep. The two were held at gunpoint and Somerville was forced to hand over her purse, while her friend was shot in the back.

The former “Beverly Hills 90210” star will guest star on an episode of NBC’s “My Name Is Earl,” a publicist for the network revealed to Access Hollywood.
