LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
It’s been one heck of a year for Heidi Montag.
The “Hills” star has undergone more than just her publicized (and quite noticeable) physical transformation – the last 12 months have also seen Heidi’s celebrity status get quite a facelift.
And now, the reality star-turned-full-fledged-breakout-bombshell is baring her soul – and some skin – in the new issue of Maxim.
Among the topics the “Hills” villainess tackled with the mag included the hot topic – is everything you see on the show a true “reality”?
“’The Hills’ is a show that’s 22 minutes long about seven people’s lives. It’s edited for drama, and there are story lines. If someone walks in front of the camera, we have to redo the shot. It’s not like ‘The Truman Show.’ They’re not with us all the time, although I wish they were, because it would be a way crazier show,” Heidi said. “Let’s see how Lauren would look then!”
Speaking of her former friend turned foe, Lauren Conrad, do the two have any plans for reconciliation?
“She’s changed. Some people go more Hollywood than others. We’re from different backgrounds. She grew up in that spoiled Laguna world, and I grew up with humble beginnings,” Heidi told Maxim. “I’ve heard that she’s a big diva now – ‘insiders’ say.”
As for her brand new bod, Heidi was surprised by all the attention – especially because she claims she’s not the only “Hills” star to have some work done.
“It’s funny. Almost everyone on the show has had some kind of surgery. They were saying malicious things about me, and I was like, ‘You guys are hypocrites — trying to make me look bad when you’ve done things to yourselves!’” she exclaimed.
But was she willing to dish up the dirt on who had what done?
“I don’t want to get into it, because then I’m going to start a war,” Heidi told the magazine.
