It's A Boy For Christina Aguilera

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Christina Aguilera is a new mom.

The pop singer gave birth to her first child — a boy on Saturday night, her rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.

"Christina and Jordan [Bratman] are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He was born on January 12th, 2008 at 10:05 p.m. weighing in at 6 pounds 2 oz. and 20.5 inches long," a rep for the singer said in a statement. "Mom is resting and doing well!"

A source close to the singer told Access that Christina checked into Cedars Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles on Friday for a Saturday C-section .

“Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world,” Aguilera told fans via her Web site.

She posted a special video for her song “Save Me From Myself,” in honor of her son’s arrival.

Aguilera wasn’t the only star to give birth this past weekend.

Former “According To Jim” star, Courtney Thorne Smith welcomed son Jacob Emerson Fishman at the same hospital on Friday night. Nicole Richie also gave birth to her little girl, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, on Friday.

David Alan Grier’s wife also had a baby at Cedars – a little girl on Thursday.
