Abby Lee Miller: Is She Too Mean?

“Dance Moms” teacher Abby Lee Miller has a reputation for being too tough and mean towards her young dance students. So, when Abby sat down with Access, we asked her point black — is she too mean?

It's all next. You're dancing right here right now like you have never had a dance class in your life and your mother's telling me how much you've improved. It's moments like that that could give dance moms teacher Abby lee the reputation of being too tough. When we sat down with Abby, we asked her point blank, I she rude? Yes, I can be. I'm hurt. Hurt. I think my tone can be edgy at times. Every time! I want the best for the kids, and I want to see all the adults who think I'm horrible and the people standing there in awe, when a child approaches me running to me and wants a hug, I think the kids get it. You have seen firsthand what happens to other people when they slack off. She's tough but she gets results. Now the dance mom star is sharing her tried and true methods, "Everything I learned about life I learned in dance class." The kids get that I want them to be the best at any cost, that I want what's best for them and sometimes parents think she's ignoring my child so what about this other kid? If you ask any of my kids on Broadway, they would tell you I was a lot tougher 20 years ago. I have really mellowed. For Abby dance has been a lifelong passion since the age of 14. She has former dance students working professionally all over the world including on the Broadway stage. I never city set out to make a million dollars. I never set out to be wealthy. My goal was to create professional dancers, which is different than being just an incredible dancer. The new group not only addresses her dancing goals and journey to the top, but she also dishes all the dirt that dance fan moms want to hear. If I threw anybody under the bus, oh, well, be glad you're in there. Take the high road. Tomorrow on "Access
