ABC has decided not to pick up its three slumping sophomore series, “Pushing Daisies,” “Dirty Sexy Money” and “Eli Stone” beyond their initial 13-episode commitments, according to a report in Thursday’s The Hollywood Reporter.
Although none of the shows have received an official “cancellation” from the network, the writing is basically on the wall. “Daisies” averaged 6.4 million viewers this season, “Money” had 6.6 million, and “Stone” had 7.9 million.
“Daisies” and “Money” suffered from short freshman outings due to last year’s writer’s strike.

In honor of the news that ABC is letting go of Dr. Erica Hahn on “Grey’s Anatomy,” ending her budding romance with Dr. Callie Torres – I have come up with a list of the 15 most awkward couples on TV right now.
Dr. Erica Hahn and Dr. Calle Torres (“Grey’s Anatomy”) - Unfortunately, Erica and Callie’s friendship-turned-romance was a disaster from the start. The whole storyline just took us into TMSI (too much sexual information) territory, which turned fans off rather than on. “Grey’s” should look at how the romance is playing out between Kevin Walker and his love, Scotty, on “Brothers and Sisters” for how to portray a proper gay couple.
And speaking of “Grey’s Anatomy” let me also mention two other awkward couples…

Do you ever have those pre-MP3 player moments when you’re in the music section of your favorite store and see a CD and just decide to purchase? Well, I do.
A little more than a year ago I saw a CD for $7.99 — Jon McLaughlin’s major label debut — “Indiana,” and decided to buy it. I loved the album so much, I played it non-stop in my car for more than a month. I didn’t listen to anything else. To this day I put “Indiana” back into rotation on occasion.
So imagine my excitement when I heard McLaughlin was coming out with a new album after only a year. ‘Will it be as good?’ I wondered the past few months in nervous anticipation. I’m happy to report that, yes, it’s awesome – and better!
