Access Rising Star: Megan Fox

Caption Megan Fox-- She’s barely 21, but the July 3rd release of “Transformers” is about to turn Megan Fox into a major star.
On Independence Day weekend, shape-shifting lovers across the US will descend on theatres to see Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Hollywood’s favorite young bachelor Shia LaBeouf battle for planet earth, alongside the film’s first lady, Ms. Fox. A former model, Megan stars as Mikaela Baines, the love interest of LaBeouf’s Sam Witwicky.
Lighting up the screen in this big box office venture is a real treat according to Megan, who despite being drop dead gorgeous, has a very unlikely passion.
“I’m really into comic books. I’m a comic book geek,” she confided in Access. “I collect them. Fathom [is my favorite]. It’s by Michael Turner. He also does Witchblade. He’s a sick artist.”
Like many young starlets, Fox is into tattoos. She claims to have seven or eight. She has very Angelina Jolie-esque writing on her upper back. Most recently though, Fox had the image of a famous starlet inked on her right forearm.
“It’s Marilyn Monroe,” she tells Access. “I have always empathized with her in normal life before I even knew what empathy was. Whenever I would hear her voice or see her on screen I would cry. I still do. And I never understood it before, but I do now, and it seems meaningful enough to pay tribute to that.”
But Fox isn’t all about comic books and tattoos, born in Memphis Tennessee, Megan is a beauty queen too. She began modeling at just thirteen, picking up a host of awards for her radiant looks. Fox began acting around the same time, eventually netting her first major role opposite none other than the Olsen twins in 2001’s “Holiday In the Sun.”
TV fans will recall the beautiful brunette as Sydney on Kelly Ripa’s ABC sitcom “Hope & Faith.” Fox starred as the daughter of Faith Ford’s character Hope for two years.
Though she’s won the hearts of many men the world over who voted her into FHM’s Sexiest Women in both the 2006 and 2007 editions, only one man has stolen Megan’s heart. She’s engaged to 33 year old former “90210” star Brian Austin Green.
