-- Two summers ago, Seth Rogen was the one who outed budding movie star Steve Carell as a "The 40-Year-Old Virgin." But now this summer, it's Seth who is breaking out with big laughs, a lot of heart and as people who see "Knocked Up" can attest to — a little skin.
And Seth & crew were a knock out at the box office in their opening weekend, grossing over $30 million.
"For a very lazy guy, I do a lot more than I would have ever thought I did," Seth joked with Access Hollywood.
Actually, he's anything but lazy as Access caught up with this breakout star on the set of his upcoming film "The Pineapple Express."
After all, it's a long way for a guy whose first job was a bit unconventional.
"My first job ever was I wrote jokes for a mohel who saw me do stand-up," Seth explained. "A mohel is a guy who does circumcisions and he hired me to punch up his mohel routine. I'm thinking, 'Why do you want this to be funny?'"
From there, Seth was Hollywood-bound as he landed roles in "Donnie Darko," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and the TV shows "Freaks and Geeks," "Dawson's Creek" and Fox's "Undeclared."
He also voices the Ship Captain in the animated hit "Shrek the Third."
In "Knocked Up," Seth draws roaring laughs when he shows off his bare behind after a wild night with co-star Katherine Heigl. But that wasn't quite the reaction he had hoped for.
"I just wanted one 'Ow!'" he grinned. "Yeah, it's a big ass."
In fact, it looks like Seth can't stop talking about his derriere as the subject came up again when he visited Jay Leno on Monday night.
"My butt is 300 feet tall now," he laughed. "It looks like some undiscovered planet."
