LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Alyssa Milano is heading back to the network that helped make her a star, and she spoke with Access Hollywood about the details surrounding her return.

The actress, who got her big break playing Tony Danza’s plucky teenage daughter on “Who’s The Boss?,” (and later found success on “Charmed”) told Access, she’s thrilled to be returning to ABC for a new comedy.

“In November we start production on my new series for ABC called ‘Single with Parents,’” she said about the show, which has been picked up for mid-season.

The half-hour sitcom finds Alyssa playing a character named Lou.

“It’s about a really dysfunctional family with lots of chaos but a lot of love too,” she explained.

Though the show won’t start until next January, Alyssa said she is thrilled to be involved with it.

“I’m just really excited to get back to work,” she enthused.

And at least one of the reasons she’s thrilled with the project is her supporting cast.

“It’s amazing,” she said. “It’s Annie Potts, Beau Bridges, Amanda Detmer, Meagan Fay and Eric Winter.”
