‘Idol’ Alum Justin Guarini Welcomes Son William

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Justin Guarini arrives at The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards held at Staples Center in LA on February 13, 2011It’s a boy for “American Idol” alum Justin Guarini!

The singer and wife Reina Capodici welcomed son William Neko Bell Guarini on Tuesday, his rep confirmed to People.

The couple’s new bundle of joy arrived at 6:26 AM and weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz.

“Quite a polite fellow for waiting until late Monday, early Tuesday to make his entrance… with a full head of curly brown hair, wide open and alert eyes he came charging into the world,” Justin told the mag.

“Reina is doing wonderfully and should be given a medal for going 10 months and 1 week with child,” he continued. “She performed beautifully and only had to push for 15-20 minutes before the babe arrived. We’re resting comfortably in the hospital and can’t wait to introduce him to his big sister when visiting hours commence.”

Little William will join big sister Lola, 6, whom Reina had from previous relationship.

Justin and Reina were married in September 2009. The Season 1 “Idol” runner-up finished his Broadway run in Green Day’s “American Idiot” on Sunday.
