‘American Idol Live!’ 2008 Tour Dates Announced

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

They sang for your vote, now the “American Idol” top 10 are hitting the road.

Tour dates for the “American Idols Live!” tour have been announced, kicking off July 1 in Glendale, Arizona.

Season 7’s top 10 finalists – Brooke White, Carly Smithson, Chikezie, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns, Ramiele Malubay, Syesha Mercado, David Archuleta and new “Idol” winner David Cook – will make over 50 stops nationwide, including Los Angeles, Detroit, Philadelphia, Dallas and Baltimore, before wrapping things up on September 13 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“One of the key factors in the success story of ‘American Idol,’ is the unique experience of seeing today’s best undiscovered talent, perform live on stage each and every week. We are truly excited that the American Idols Live! Tour will once again give fans the chance to see the TV show come to life in their hometown,” said “Idol” creator and executive producer Simon Fuller.
