Weeks after an Australian variety show made headlines around the world after a group of white performers donned blackface to perform as the Jackson brothers, Tyra Banks is making headlines herself for turning her latest “America’s Next Top Model” candidates bi-racial for a photo shoot.

Tyra Banks may have gone from model to reality TV mogul, but she isn’t quite where she wants to be.

“I wish I was more of a diva,” Tyra told Tuesday’s “Nightline” while talking about cast changes on “America’s Next Top Model.” “I wish [I] was harder, I wish I didn’t care so much about being the nice girl all the time. Because a lot of the time people can take kindness for weakness … so I wish I had a little bit more ‘oomph’ in me.”

On Tuesday’s fifth-season premiere of “The Tyra Show” on the CW network, the former supermodel goes on-camera with unadorned hair. Or as Banks puts it, “no wigs, extensions, no nothing.”
