Amy Adams Explains Giving Up Seat For Soldier; Talks 'Dawn Of Justice' Workouts

Amy Adams made headlines last month when she gave up her first-class seat on a flight so that a U.S. soldier could have the luxurious comfort.

Access Hollywood caught up with the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star – who is the new face of Max Mara's fall and spring campaigns – where said she wishes more people would make kind gestures toward the men and women of our armed forces.

"I think that if we were paying attention to the soldier right now, maybe more people would do it?" she told Access. "I feel like a lot of attention has been paid to me, and I'm grateful that people are latching onto a positive story, but the whole point was to draw attention to the soldier.

"So I wish more people were paying attention to him right now. Or to them," she added.

The 39-year-old beauty, who plays Lois Lane in the new Superman franchise, said she works out to keep up with her ripped co-stars (Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot).

"Everyone there is super yoked, so I feel, you know, not the pressure – because they're very accepting of all body types. But, you know, everyone looks so great, "she said, when asked if she's working out for the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel. "They're all in such great shape, so I think it started with the last time I did [Lois Lane], I haven't stopped working out since. I love it."

The mom of two said she's discovered that exercising helps her mood.

"I'm not crazy – like, I don't have any crazy fitness regime, but I do love to [exercise now]," she said. "It increases the serotonin so I find I'm a happier person when I work out. More patient, for sure."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
