Disney has released the first image of the Academy Award-winning actress in the upcoming “Maleficent,” the untold story of one of Disney’s most iconic villains, Maleficent, from the 1959 animated classic “Sleeping Beauty.”
The live action 3-D movie reveals the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.
The movie also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville with Robert Stromberg making his directorial debut.
“Maleficent” is slated to hit the big screen on March 14, 2014.
