LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Angelina Jolie might not be on the big screen as often as her fans would like in the coming years. The actress told the Italian edition of Vanity Fair in the October issue that her priorities have changed from career to family since giving birth to her twins in July — and her growing family wonders why she’s not married to Brad Pitt yet.

“The kids are my priority, so it’s possible that from now on I will make fewer movies. I may even stop altogether,” she told the mag. “I no longer have the ambition I had in my 20s.”

The actress might be scaling back her screen time, but she said her life is far from dull.

“In reality my life is a lot more chaotic and adventurous now. Brad [Pitt] and I pilot airplanes, we travel non-stop, we go to difficult places and we have chosen to do it taking all of the kids with us,” the 33-year-old mother said. “I feel a lot braver now than when I was an angry young woman.”

As for that “angry young woman” she refers to, that part of her changed with motherhood, according to the actress.

“I knew little about the world and I was completely self-absorbed. It was only when I came out of my shell and started taking care of others that I found the real Angelina,” the mother of six said.

And does the actress have plans to marry partner Brad?

“Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards,” Angelina said.

“But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us [to get married],” she told the mag. “You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, ‘Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you’re not?’”
