LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Anna Paquin had made some serious waves as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO’s “True Blood,” but she could have another career in store – beauty writer.
“I could write a guidebook to spray-tanning,” she joked to the British version of ELLE magazine, according to People.
Anna blamed her fake sun kissed glow on her residency on the West Coast.
“I’m fully transforming into the Californian babe,” she added.
The Oscar-winner lives in Venice Beach with her fiance, Stephen Moyer, who stars as her “True Blood” vampire beau, Bill Compton.
Anna revealed that one of the things that brought them together was that they are both a little out of place in Los Angeles.
“It’s not so much about the things you have in common, like the fact that half the television I watched growing up was British TV,” the Canadian born and New Zealand reared Anna told the mag. “It’s just the shared experience of being foreign in America, a place where you’re sort of expected not to feel foreign.”
When they aren’t shooting, Anna and Stephen spend time in the U.K., and their relationship seems just about perfect for the star, who hinted she’s had trouble maintaining romances in the past.
“What makes relationships so difficult with my job is all the traveling and being away from your significant other,” she told the mag. “Eventually it gets too hard to maintain.”
“It’s great to have the freedom to enjoy your work and not feel like you’re leaving your other life behind,” she added. “It’s a pretty sweet setup.”
