Ra's al Ghul has been cast on "Arrow."
Matt Nable, from "Riddick," has been cast in the recurring role of the big bad villain on The CW's "Arrow."
Series star Stephen Amell got to make the announcement on his Twitter page on Thursday, Tweeting, "Please welcome Matt Nable to Arrow. You know who he's playing."
Ra's al Ghul is the leader of the League of Assassins. His daughter, Nyssa al Ghul, was previously introduced. She is played by Katrina Law.
He is described as, "a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. He carries the wisdom of the ages, and protects some of its greatest secrets."
He will make his debut in the fourth episode of "Arrow" Season 3, titled, "The Magician." That will also be The CW's 50th episode of the series.
Liam Neeson famously played the character on the big screen in 2005's "Batman Begins."
