Blake Lively On Paris Comparison: ‘I Don’t Like Sex Tapes’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Blake Lively wants to set the record straight – just because she plays a fun-loving socialite on TV, that doesn’t mean she is one in real life.

“I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hilton – since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we’re alike,” the “Gossip Girl” star told Seventeen magazine. “It’s a dumb thing to say. I don’t think that makes Paris and me similar … I don’t go to clubs, I don’t party, I don’t dance on tables, and I don’t like sex tapes.”

However, one thing Blake can relate to Paris on is paparazzi attention, which the “Gossip Girl” star can attribute largely to her off-screen relationship with co-star Penn Badgley.

But for Blake, her relationship with Penn had nothing to do with their characters falling for each other.

“When you’re saying these words that people are making you say to one another, nothing about it is real or genuine,” she told Seventeen. “So if two people connect outside their characters, then that’s how they get together.”

And while the couple’s relationship might not be anywhere as near as tumultuous as their on-screen love affair, Blake does note one similarity between herself and her character, Serena van der Woodsen – they are both passionate people.

“When I care about somebody, whether it’s my best friend or somebody who I would date, I give them all of my heart,” Blake concluded. “I’ve just been so loved, and I’m used to really loving people and trusting them.”
