The troubled “Dallas” movie remake suffered another casting blow.

John Travolta has been replaced after being attached for more than two years, according to a report by PageSix .

“[Travolta was] let go about two weeks ago. He had the role of J.R. Ewing taken from him and given to Ben Stiller,” an inside source told PageSix.

Travolta has reportedly been compensated for his time.

“John was given a nice seven-figure ‘gift’ to go away quietly,” the PageSix source added.

The “Golden Globe” nominated actor for “Hairspray” reportedly secured multiple family members roles in the Texas-set film remake.

A friend of Travolta confirmed he was out, but questioned the report of Travolta family members being offered roles, saying, “He is not doing the movie. They’ve gone a different direction than was originally intended. I don’t know about any ‘gift,‘ and I don’t think the family member thing is correct.”

Travolta’s camp declined to comment.

The sudden exit of Travolta is the newest casting mishap for “Dallas.” Shirley MacLaine (who was to play Miss Ellie), Luke Wilson (Bobby Ewing) and Jennifer Lopez Lopez (Sue Ellen) have also left the film.

Stiller’s camp denies reports the actor accepted or was offered the part of J.R. Ewing.

Access reached out to Fox, the studio producing the “Dallas” remake . They declined to comment on any casting news, but confirmed the film will be a comedy written and directed by Betty Thomas.
