LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Playing the parts of a pirate and a murdering barber has paid off for Johnny Depp.

The actor has been named the “Top Money-Making Star of 2007” in Quigley Publishing Company’s 76th Annual Poll.

Depp starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” in 2007.

This is the actor’s second consecutive time in the number one spot. He first appeared on the list in 2003, coming in as number six.

For the first year in 24 years, a female actress was not included on the top-ten list.

Shia LaBeouf, of “Transformers,” “Disturbia,” and “Surf’s Up” fame, and “Juno’s” Ellen Page were named the “Stars of Tomorrow for 2007”

The Quigley Poll has been conducted every year since 1932.

The “Top Money-Making Stars of 2007” are:
