Des Moines, Iowa --

Stars Scarlett Johansson and Chuck Norris added a little celebrity power to the Iowa caucuses last night.

The two celebs turned up across the state, helping out their respective presidential candidates – Republican Mike Huckabee for Chuck, and Democrat Barack Obama for Scarlett.

Scarlett appeared at a rally for high school and college students in Coralville, Iowa, where she explained how she picked Obama as her candidate of choice.

“She actually seemed a little shy when she first started speaking,” audience member Jason Millsap told People. “But [she] warmed up to the crowd, who were eager to ask questions… It was pretty exciting and inspiration to see someone as big as her come and talk to her peers.”

Scarlett later traveled to Obama’s big rally in Des Moines, but she was not an official part of the campaign at that stop, according to The Nation.

As for Norris, he began making appearances for Huckabee in Iowa earlier this week alongside the candidate’s wife, Janet.

On Wednesday, the former “Walker: Texas Ranger” star told a crowd at the Des Moines, Val Air Ballroom he was impressed with his candidate’s stamina.

“Mike Huckbaee’s a lot tougher than me,” the Dallas Morning News reported the actor as saying. “There’s no way I could go on the trail 18-hours a day doing interviews. I work out on the Total Gym, but I’m not that tough.”

While the debate rages on whether their celebrity power is swaying voters, both Huckabee and Obama won for their respective parties in Iowa.

This year’s election season is already shaping up to be one of the most celebrity-friendly yet.

Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith previously pledged their support for Obama, while Barbara Streisand and Corey Feldman have both announced their support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
