LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
In the late ‘70s, Gary Coleman was big. Even Mohammed Ali got into Gary’s "Diff’rent Strokes" action.
Today, Gary is a married man.
At first glance, Gary and his wife, Shannon Price, may appear to be an odd couple, but don’t opposites attract?
In the latest installment of our Couples Uncensored series, Access got to the long and the short of it. But as Gary and Shannon quickly found out, the uncensored interview can be a dangerous game for newlyweds.
And while Gary and Shannon have only been married six months, luckily for them some questions were easy.
"Would you like to do a reality show?" Gary asked Shannon.
"No," she said.
And some questions were romantic…
"What was your favorite moment of our wedding?" Shannon asked.
"[It] was when we put the rings on. That was my favorite moment," he responded.
And then it was Access Hollywood’s turn to do the asking.
Gary has been in the public eye for 30 years, so a lot has been written, including that 40-year-old Gary is still a virgin?
"I just don't discuss my private life, but she knows what I am," Gary said.
"He is 40 though. You got that right," Shannon joked.
OK, so maybe Gary has lost his virginity, and now he’s an expert on intimacy.
"Sex is just another expression of love, but you know, you can overdo everything," Gary explained "You can take anything too far and I don't think my wife would appreciate it if I came in with a big black hood and whip in my hand. I don't think she would like that very much."
Then there’s Gary’s hot temper.
In 1999, he pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace and Shannon has even called the police over Gary’s violent mood swings, but in our interview, it sounded like the lovebirds were in a little denial.
"The media makes it bigger than what it really is," Shannon said.
"Always," Gary added.
"We just have simple little arguments like everyone else does," Shannon continued.
"Who doesn't? Who doesn't who’s married," Gary said.
Gary is now channeling his anger into a chance for you to win.
Live on February 28, at 4PM Eastern, you can test your ‘70s and ‘80s knowledge and compete against Gary online. Log onto NowYouKnowBetter.com for more information.
