LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

For anyone who just can’t get enough of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt on “The Hills,” the couple is reportedly in talks with MTV to become the new “Newlyweds.”

The on-again-off-again-on-again “reality” duo is trying to sell their journey to the altar to MTV for a new series, according to The New York Post.

According to the Post, Spencer was overheard pitching the idea of an MTV exec at the Kobe Club on Tuesday night.

“Spencer was saying, ‘I want the world to see the real Heidi and Spencer,’ and was emphasizing that the show would be just about them,” the Post’s source reportedly overheard Spencer say.

In addition, Spencer (who besides being Heidi’s fiancé, is also her manager) told the exec there would be “no Lauren Conrad” in the new show.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for MTV had no comment on the report.
