‘Idol’ Winner Cooks Up New Album: Fresh off his “Idol” coronation, David Cook sat down with Us Weekly to talk about his upcoming albums. Cook said he hopes to finish his album by late September, along with releasing a first single. And shocker, it’s a rock album. Check out a clip of the Davids HERE.

Bid On LaBeouf’s Briefs: Want a piece of one of summer’s hottest stars? Eddie Murphy has signed on for a fourth installment of the “Beverly Hills Cop” franchise and director Brett Ranter is in talks to direct, Variety reports. No word if the cool synthesizer music will be coming back too!

Sweating Gwyneth: How do you get a body like Gwyneth Paltrow? Work out three hours a day, according to celebrity chef Mario Batali. “I think she works out three hours a day - which is one of the keys to success. [She] loves to eat … and, you know, she never puts on a pound!,” the super chef told Us Weekly at the opening of the Uncle Ben’s Kids Café in Carson, California on Wednesday. Mini ‘Potter’ Prequel: Good news “Harry Potter” fanatics! J.K. Rowling has written a prequel to Harry Potter, People reports. Bad news, it’s only 800 words, and there is only one hand-written copy, and it will be auctioned off for charity. No word if the boy wizard even shows up in the super short story, but we’re guessing it will take all the gold from Gringotts to buy it.
