A Go-To Guide For Vibrant Living!

HEALTHY HOLLYWOOD

Health Hollywood recently met former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader Molly Shattuck. She’s one of those inspiring ladies who have the gift of making you feel better about yourself and better able to tackle any challenge.

After all, Molly is living proof of making unlikely dreams a reality.

At the age of 38, the mother of three decided she wanted to be professional cheerleader. So, she picked up her pom-poms and tried out with a bevy of gorgeous young things. Lo and behold, she made the squad, making her older cheerleader in NFL history.

“Honestly, I didn’t know I was old trying out,” reveals Molly to Healthy Hollywood.

Now, 47, Molly wants to be the wellness cheerleader for us regular folks with her book, “Vibrant Living.” It is a blueprint on how to live healthier, more energized life.

“My experience comes from my years of living,” she adds.

Molly has designed a 21-day plan based on her four pillars to a good life. “Habits are formed by repeated behavior and you notice a difference almost immediately. You will lose weight, feel a noticeable difference in energy and you will also be living life with a higher purpose,” adds Molly.

Molly outlined for Healthy Hollywood her four pillars to a more vibrant life.

Drink Water:
“Our body relies on water for proper function. When we are dehydrated we don’t think as clearly. Water is the only liquid that truly quenches our thirst and cleanses our body. It gives you natural energy and keeps you satisfied, so you’re not over-eating. Drink it first thing in the morning. Drink 30 ounces within first 30 to 40 minutes of being awake. And, drink at least 90 ounces throughout day.”

Eat Real:
“Focus on a minimum of 5 servings of vegetables and fruits a day. If you do that and drink your water you will automatically feel better and lose weight.”

Exercise Daily:
“Exercise daily is getting out of your comfort zone 30 minutes a day. The great outdoors is totally free. So, go outside and go biking or walking and add jumping jacks or squats at the beginning, middle and end of a walk.”

Live For Others:
“People who volunteer on a regular basis have 40% lower blood pressure. They are far less likely to become depressed or anxious and they live longer. Giving back is one of the most important lessons we can teach our kids.”
