ABC: Last Resort, 666 Park Avenue To Exit Network After 13-Episode Run

ABC has chosen not to pick up the back nine episodes of freshman dramas “Last Resort” and “666 Park Avenue,” Access Hollywood has learned.

The network is, however, intending to air the remaining episodes of both shows.

ABC originally ordered 13 episodes of co-creators Shaw Ryan and Karl Gajdusek’s “Last Resort,” and so far, seven of those episodes have aired. The next episode of the series – “Big Chicken Dinner,” starring Andre Braugher and Scott Speedman — hits the air on November 29.

Additionally, Episode 9 – “Cinderella Liberty” airs on December 6, while Episode 10 – “Blue Water” airs on December 13.

Reacting to the news on Twitter, Shawn wrote, “News is true. No Back 9 for #LastResort. We will film and and air all 13 episodes. We’re going to give you no-holds barred kick-ass ending.”

ABC is also expected to air the remaining episodes of “666 Park Avenue,” which stars Terry O’Quinn, Vanessa Williams and Rachael Taylor.

“Last Resort” brought in 5.68 million viewers in its most recent episode (Nov. 15), while “666 Park Avenue” drew in 3.90 million viewers last Sunday night, per TV By the Numbers.

In related TV news, CBS has pulled “Parnters,” the comedy star David Krumholtz and Michael Urie, from its schedule.
