Like the movie it takes inspiration from, the filmed
television event for ABC, which is being produced by Lionsgate TV, in association with
Allison Shearmur Productions, will be filled with song and dance performances.

Music for the show, which follows a young woman who falls
head over heels for Johnny Castle (who was played by Patrick Swayze, opposite Jennifer Grey, in the big
screen film), will come from Adam Anders and Peer Astrom.
