Access Exclusive: Chris Brown Talks New Video, Moving On

Chris Brown has been working hard to put the past behind him. The singer is currently gearing up to release a new album – “F.A.M.E.” — and Access Hollywood was exclusive on the set of his new video, “Yeah 3X,” which premieres on MTV today.

“I’m glad the camera was here so you can actually see that I really did it,” Chris said of performing his own stunts.

The gravity-defying stunts included one that saw him flipping into the air from a trampoline, and landing on top of a truck.

“I like to show that it’s me and do things that pushes the limits and the envelope and also gives all the kids a sense of inspiration to just be wild and have fun,” he told Access.

Chris lead a crowd on the set through the sweltering streets of Universal’s New York City back lot for the clip, which you can watch HERE. The video also features Chris’ impressive dance moves.

The catchy tune, set to a club beat, is the lead single from Chris’ new album.

“The new album is called ‘F.A.M.E.’: Forgiving All My Enemies. Basically, just being able to witness my success, failure and success again,” he explained. “Being able to see me going from my best times to my worst times and being able to over come it and growing [in]to a man, as I was doing it.”

It’s been a tumultuous couple of years for the 21-year-old singer, but he has been working hard to repair an image tarnished by his 2009 conviction for assaulting his then girlfriend-Rihanna.

Chris has seen a turn in the tide, most notably after he broke down in tears while trying to sing “Man In The Mirror” during the Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards in June.

“I think me making a change within myself and growing as a man kind of resonated to me with the song,” Chris explained of the emotional moment. “The song kind of just took over. I didn’t even think about the performance anymore; I just heard the words and it kind of just went from there.”

At the event, the stunned audience burst into applause.

“It kind of made me like, all right, let me stop crying, I’m looking like a little baby on stage, but it was great,” he said.

“Yeah 3X” is available on iTunes on October 26.
