Access Glam Slam:  ELLE Of A Night

Fierce, fabulous and fashionable perfectly describes the female-powered red carpet last night at ELLE Magazine’s 15th Annual “Women in Hollywood Tribute,” which celebrated women’s achievements in film.

Nicole Kidman, beautiful in a jeweled green satin duchess Prada dress from the Resort 2009 collection, was honored with the Icon Award for her impact on the film industry.

“It was a surprise to me… but at the same time its left me both in a state of gratitude and appreciating at 41, all of the things that I’ve been given through, through my life so far, and it’s just a lovely, lovely thing to, to sort of look back, as well as I hope, still look forward.”

Icon Award Honoree Halle Berry, in a curve hugging Roberto Cavalli black satin corset and white floral bottom dress, looked gorgeous with a capital G just 7 months after giving birth to baby Nahla.

“I think I’ve just learned to be comfortable in my body, you know, and now it’s motherhood. I never felt sexier than when I was pregnant and that feeling is sort of carrying because now I’m a mom and I’m just connected with what’s real in life and I think that’s a sexy feeling.”

While Honoree Anne Hathaway, in head-to-toe Marc Jacobs, was still basking in the glow of her “SNL” hosting gig, where she poked fun at herself and her relationship with her con man ex-boyfriend.

“I thought it was important to make light of the elephant in the room…obviously I’m fine with it if I can make fun of it on “Saturday Night Live,” so I’m ready to move on and I thought that was a great way to let everybody know that.”

It was girls’ night out for Jennifer Lopez, in short white chiffon Dolce & Gabbana, who came with best friend Leah Remini. Other stars ready to celebrate- pregnant Angie Harmon in long black Dolce & Gabbana, Courteney Cox in Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Kate Beckinsale, in a crème Derek Lam Grecian gown, who told us she had “a nipple issue going on here.”

“Is that why she was running to the bathroom?” Jenny McCarthy joked with us, then summed up the night in typical Jenny fashion.

“I love the fact that we’re celebrating women in Hollywood. I think they’re more powerful than ever, thanks to Oprah.” And then she let out a big laugh.
