Access On The Scene: Lindsay Lohan’s Day In Court

Lindsay Lohan returned to court on Wednesday and Access Hollywood is on the scene with all of the updates from inside the courtroom.

9:41 AM PST – Lindsay departs the courthouse through the back exit.

9:26 AM – Judge Keith Schwartz addresses Lindsay. “I don’t care that you’re Lindsay Lohan versus John Doe… If the case settles here, you will be going to jail, period,” the judge told the actress. “I don’t want you to be a repeat offender in the system,” he added.

The judge stressed again if the actress accepts a plea she also will be sent to jail. He continued the case until March 10, when Lindsay will be required to appear again, unless the matter is settled out of court.

Judge Schwartz noted that if the matter goes to trial, the case would then go before a different judge, Judge Sautner, who would handle both the probation violation hearing and preliminary hearing on the felony charge.

Finally, Judge Schwartz told Lindsay that if the case were settled before him that he would like her to receive routine psychological counseling and select a sponsor that is not in her family.

8:54 AM PST – Lindsay’s attorney goes into Judge Keith Schwartz’s chambers. According to Access’ producer in the courtroom, Lindsay appears calm and is seen smiling periodically. While waiting, the 24-year-old was seen reviewing a document and also texting on her phone.

8:42 AM – Lindsay arrives in the courtroom. Mother Dina and brother Michael Jr. are also in courtroom with the actress’ attorney Shawn Chapman Holley. At one point, Lindsay turned and smiled at her mother.

8:32 AM – Lindsay Lohan arrives and quickly enters the courthouse. She’s wearing white pants, a black top and has her hair pulled back.

8:21 AM – Lindsay’s dad, Michael Lohan, arrives at the Los Angeles International Airport Superior Court.

The actress will appear before a judge to potentially resolve the alleged theft of a $2,500 necklace, to which the actress previously pleaded not guilty.

Lohan is currently on probation related to a 2007 misdemeanor driving under the influence case.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, earlier this month, after her first court appearance for the alleged theft, Lohan proclaimed her innocence via Twitter and Facebook.

“fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering,” she wrote on her Facebook, a statement posted in part on her official Twitter account. “I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal.”
