Adam Levine is rumored to be the frontrunner for People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title, but the singer and coach on “The Voice” says there could be a downside to making the coveted list.
“I don’t believe it,” he told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Monday, when asked about the rumors.
The mag won’t crown the “Sexiest” until Wednesday and Adam was staying on coy on the possibility of nabbing the crown.
“I don’t want to get my hopes up. That’ll get me too excited about it and it won’t happen, and I’ll be depressed,” he said.
Fellow coach on “The Voice,” Christina Aguilera, warned Adam that it won’t all be roses if he’s given the honor.
“The ball busting will be hilarious,” the singer said.
“There is no way that [I’ll] ever be able to live it down,” Adam continued.
In fact, Christina already has a plan in place.
“If it happens, I got a good prank. I got a good one,” she explained. “I’m actually going to pull pranks. I’m going to have like ‘Christina’s Weekly Prank’ that I’m going to pull every week. I gotta spice things up.”

And the ribbing won’t just be coming from the spinning coach chairs!
“I’m going to be getting pranked by everyone, if it does happen,” Adam told Billy and Kit. “I’m going to be getting pranked by every single person I know!”
