Adam Sandler Says His Family Fell In Love With His Female Character In ‘Jack And Jill’

Adam Sandler has a new holiday film on the way – “Jack and Jill” – where he plays Jack, the father of the Sadelstein family, and Jill, his loud and obnoxious twin sister, who is coming for a seasonal visit.

It was his female character, in the film, though, who left a big impression on the comedian’s own family.

“My girls and my wife love Jill. In fact, in the car ride over here, they talked to me about Jill the whole time – ‘Why are you not doing Jill? You should put Jill’s clothes back on,’” Adam told Access Hollywood at the film’s junket over the weekend of the way his family bonded with his character. “It’s been like five months, and they’re angry with me. I might have to at least get the wig on.”

The film also features appearances by Adam’s former “Saturday Night Live” cast members, including Tim Meadows, David Spade, Norm MacDonald and Dana Carvey, and it also features a cameo by Al Pacino as himself.

“We knew it was going to be hilarious — talking about life and him being bananas, and him being into Jill, getting to make fun of certain things, we knew it would be a great time,” Adam said of filming with the screen legend. “He was fantastic.”

“Jack and Jill” opens on November 11.
