Adele’s ’21’ Named Billboard’s Greatest Album Of All Time

Adele is saying “Hello” to even more accolades!

The singer’s blockbuster sophomore effort, “21,” has been crowned Billboard‘s greatest album of all time.

According to the music magazine, “21” earned the title thanks to its unprecedented chart performance.

In addition to topping the Billboard 200 for 24 nonconsecutive weeks, “21” also spent the most time at No. 1 on the list for any album by a female artist, the mag reported on Thursday.

Competition was tough for Billboard’s first ever all-time album ranking.

The “Sound of Music” soundtrack came in second, while Michael Jackson’s seminal “Thriller” rounded out the top three. The Beatles were named the top overall act.

Released in 2011, “21” solidified Adele’s place among contemporary music’s top artists, with such hits as “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You.”

The British chanteuse took home six Grammys as a result, including Album of the Year.

“21” may be a tough act to follow, but Adele shouldn’t worry about maintaining her own momentum.
