All Access: Baby Cruise Delivery Details!

From diapers to decoys, Access uncovered the details about Tom and Katie’s mad dash to the delivery room!

Katie gave birth at St. John’s hospital, with the help of an epidural, and as Access first reported, left later in the day, in a black Ford Excursion with the help of two decoy cars.

Tom and Katie’s secret trip to the hospital normally takes 26 minutes, but in the wee hours of the morning, it could take as little as 15 minutes.

Tom’s mom, Mary South, visited her new granddaughter and People magazine reports Suri has “lots and lots of dark hair and big, blue eyes.”

Katie’s sister reportedly told her hometown of Toledo that “The family is ecstatic!”

Tom’s son, Connor, wasn’t at his regular afternoon Little League Game, and Tom’s “Mission Impossible 3” cast did their press interviews without him.

“They were, like, so excited on the set,” Jonathan Rhys Meyers told us. “We were there, and we all knew that Tom was going to have a kid before anybody else and we were very excited about the fact.”

Jonathan talked about knowing Katie was pregnant before the rest of the world.

“When you work with Tom certain things have to be secretive and you accept that,” Jonathan said.

Tom got back to work doing interviews with the international press and Access gets the next interview with the new papa!

Meanwhile, we got a little parental wisdom from a mom who knows.

Angie Harmon, mother of two, celebrated Travel & Leisure magazine’s 35 anniversary and described first time motherhood for Katie.

“You’re used to being able to grab your purse and run out the door, and you can’t do that anymore,” Angie said. “Oh wait, you have to be fed and you have to be clothed and change your diaper and all that!”

But Tom and Katie may have their hands full with Suri for other reasons.

“Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” star Melissa Joan Hart, who shares the same birthday as Suri, explains the Aries star sign personality!

“April 18 is, like, Aries three,” Melissa said. “So, it is like the strongest of all the signs! Most pigheaded and just very stubborn.”

And Access got the exclusive look at where baby Suri will be spending a lot of her time — in a $20,000 nursery!

From the baby monitor to the $5,000 custom crib, the nursery is ready to go and we have the women who made it possible.

“So how much do you imagine of this stuff that’s in here is actually in Tom and Katie’s nursery right now?” Billy asked the co-owners of baby gear hotspot, Petit Tresor.

“Looking around I would say a good majority of it,” Nina Rioja said.

“Did they come with an army?” Billy teased

“The publicist called beforehand to make sure that the store was prepared for their privacy,” Samantha Winch said.

“So, Tom was not there, so, it was just Katie and her people?” Billy asked.

“Yes,” Samantha said.

“Because Tom is so involved in everything, I would think Tom was checking out the stuff,” Billy said.

“Tom was involved probably in the bigger picture, but when it came down to the little bitty details of the little shoes and little booties, it was Katie’s job,” Nina explained.

“She spent $20,000 on bedding and furniture?” Billy asked.

“She spent quite a bit of money,” Nina said. “We can’t exactly say how much, but certainly money was no object for Katie and Tom.”You don’t say? And the $5,000 customized crib proves it!

Nina and Samantha showed Billy more of Suri’s bounty.

“What did she like that was unique?” Billy asked.

“She loved the mink throws, the faux mink,” Nina said. “This retails for $155 and it feels just like mink.”

“Wow,” Billy exclaimed. “Something you would see in Mission Impossible.”

To keep an eye on the little one, Katie picked up a video baby monitor.

“This is fantastic,” Billy said. “What does a monitor like this cost?”

“A monitor like this is almost $300,” Nina said.

And Billy got to peruse the Cruise-Holmes registry!

“This is like an anthology of stuff here,” said Billy, as he leafed through the registry.

“Well, it’s a Tom Cruise baby. What would you expect,” Nina said.

“Medela Pump, Instyle Advance Breast Pump,” Billy read aloud. “She will be pumping from that we can deduce.”

“Have you sent any congratulations to her or have you heard from her?” Billy asked.

“Absolutely,” Samantha said.

“Can you imagine?” Nina said. “Of course we have.”

“Call the house to say, are things working OK or did they call you with satisfaction support?” Billy asked.

“We have direct access to her so, if she has any questions for us we are available night or day,” Nina said.

“You call her on her cell phone,” Billy asked.

“She can call us,” Nina said.

“She has your number?” Billy asked.

“She calls us, we don’t call her,” Samantha laughed.
