Aly Raisman got the gold in Rio, and she got a hero’s welcome in her hometown of Needham, Mass.
On Saturday, known in Needham as “Aly Raisman day,” she shared a picture on Instagram in which she is sitting on top of a firetruck in what appears to be a parade.
“Today is Aly Raisman day in Needham,” she captioned. “THANK YOU Needham.”

The gymnast also shared a snap on Instagram in which she’s wearing red shorts, a white shirt and an American flag scarf.
“Outfit for the rally today 🙂 So excited to see you all. Thank you Needham for putting this together and everyone for coming out,” she captioned. “Can’t wait to see you all and can’t thank you enough for all the support! Go USA.”

Aly Raisman is set to perform next in the 2016 Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions, which kicks off on September 15 in Spokane, Wash.
