Amanda Bynes Goes On Twitter Rant After Release From Psychiatric Facility

Amanda Bynes was released from a psychiatric facility on Thursday after she contested being held involuntarily and she was deemed fit to leave. Then, the 28-year-old ended up wandering Hollywood’s Sunset Strip before eventually sitting down to dinner at famed Mel’s Diner.

Access Hollywood spoke to Destiny Velasquez, the waitress who served the actress at around 9:30 PM.

“She kept apologizing when ordering her food, thinking it was a lot for one person to consume. She kept saying, ‘Sorry, I know I probably look like a fat a** because I’m ordering all this food, but I promise I’m not. I just don’t want anyone to see me ordering all this food because of all this weight I just lost. I don’t want people to think badly of me,'” Destiny told Access, recounting her night serving Amanda.

The actress ordered numerous items at the popular diner, but didn’t finish all of them. Destiny told Access that Amanda’s dinner consisted of fried chicken, a side of salmon, a house salad (with guacamole, bell peppers, Italian dressing and ranch dressing), a Caesar salad, a side of cannellini beans, a mineral water and a latte.

“Since she didn’t finish the Caesar salad, the beans, and the salmon, she demanded for us to take it off the check,” Destiny explained. “So, we took it off. She left a 10 dollar tip.”

The Mel’s Dinner waitress also gave Access details on Amanda’s appearance.

“She was wearing the glasses to cover up a bandage on her right cheek. She told me she had gotten about six procedures done, cosmetic surgeries, because she felt she wasn’t pretty,” Destiny told Access. “It didn’t seem weird to me that she was sharing this information with me because she just looked like she really needed someone to talk to. She looked really lonely and vulnerable.”

According to Density, when Amanda was left alone while at the restaurant, she would talk to herself.

On Friday, Amanda began a lengthy Twitter rant, where she accused her father of being a “sexual predator.” Earlier this month, the former actress made similar allegations against her father, allegations he adamantly denied and claims the actress later recanted.

“I am going to court today with my lawyer to prove that I am more than capable of handling my personal life and finances and I am enraged,” Amanda wrote on Twitter on Friday. “I got released from the hospital that Sam Lufti and my parents arranged to send me to because my dad is humiliated by what he’s done.”

Access has reached out to Bynes’ family attorney for comment.
