Amanda Knox has found love!
The headline-maker is engaged to marry Colin Sutherland, People has confirmed.
Colin is a musician who Amanda has known since middle school.

The 27-year-old made headlines when she served time in an Italian prison on charges of allegedly murdering her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, during a study abroad term in 2007. Amanda appealed the ruling and was acquitted of the charges, allowing her to return home to Seattle, Wash. in 2011.
Upon her return home, Amanda resumed college and earned a bachelor’s degree in creative writing at the University of Washington last year. However, the Italian judicial system reviewed the case again and reinstated the guilty verdict in January 2014. Amanda may learn the outcome next month.

Amanda currently works as a freelance journalist and editor in her hometown of Seattle.
