“American Idol” alumni Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo are engaged.
The couple got engaged on Wednesday night after Ace (from “Idol” Season 5) proposed to Diana (Season 3) on stage at the Season 11 finale.
“You’re my best friend, I want to make this last forever and I will do anything in my power to have the most… amazing life together, if you will have me,” Ace said as the “Idol” elimination suspense music played during his proposal.
“Diana Nicole DeGarmo. Will you. Marry. Me?” he added, as he got down on one knee.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Diana said yes, and the couple kissed.
“Congratulations,” Ryan Seacrest chimed in.
Responding to the news, a very happy Diana was almost at a loss for words.
“I’m so speechless right now. Wow babe, you picked a good one,” she said, of her ring.
