The remaining “American Idol” contestants got a welcome – albeit brief – break from rehearsing this week when they ventured out for a charity event graced by a handful of celebrities.
Among the stars present was “Hunger Games” hunk Liam Hemsworth, who sent the “Idol” girls into a giddy tailspin.
“[I felt] a bunch of heart flutters,” contestant Kree Harrison told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman following “Idol” on Wednesday, when asked about meeting the handsome Aussie. “I love ‘Hunger Games.’ I wasn’t expecting him to be there, so it was cool.

“I had a blast,” she added.
The run-in was especially exciting for Angie Miller (who bears a striking resemblance to Liam’s longtime love, Miley Cyrus).
“When I saw him I was like, ‘Ahh!’ and I looked at all the other girls and I was like, ‘That’s Liam Hemsworth!’ I was like, freaking out,” Angie told Laura. “He didn’t say that [I look like Miley], but when I posted the photo [of us] online, every comment was like, ‘He probably thought she was Miley!’
“I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’” she continued. “I’m a huge ‘Hunger Games’ fan.”
Candice Glover confessed she didn’t initially know who Liam was (she just thought he was a “cute” guy), as she’s been too busy to see “The Hunger Games.”
She is, however, awestruck by Drake, whose 2010 song — “Find Your Love” — was one of the tunes she performed on Wednesday’s show.
“I look up to [Drake] for his artistry and his versatility and just because he’s a rapper doesn’t mean he can’t talk about emotional things and I really, really look up to him for that,” she said.
And his good looks are nothing to scoff at either.
“If Drake asked me on a date, I would probably have to fit him into my schedule,” she joked.
“American Idol” airs tonight at 8/7c on Fox.
