‘American Idol’ Kris Allen To Release Album This Fall

Just a few months ago, Kris Allen became the eighth “American Idol,” and although he’s spent the summer busily touring with his fellow Top 10 singers across the USA, he’s almost ready to release his post-“Idol” album.

Kris hit his Twitter page on Thursday evening to tell fans his full-length effort is on the way this fall.

“Hey guys! The album is set to release Nov.17th,” he Tweeted on Thursday.

No additional details were available about the upcoming Jive Records release, a rep for the singer told Access Hollywood.

In the months since leaving “Idol,” Kris has worked with a host of producers and songwriters including Joe King from The Fray.

“It was a very good vibe in the studio,” Joe told MTV News in June. “There was no pressure — we just had breakfast, got to know each other.”

The two recorded in Timbaland’s recording facilities, although he wasn’t there at the time.

“Timbaland’s brother was there along with his crew, and it added this great energy to the session,” Joe said. “When the boys heard the track, they started hanging around.”

“American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert is also working on an album, although a release date has not yet been set.
