Amy Schumer Slams Haters With Body-Positive Message: ‘I Feel Happy’ About How I Look

Amy Schumer
is saying hello to her haters.

The
“Trainwreck” star took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a photo of
herself wearing a one-piece bathing suit while walking along the surf. Amy
accompanied the snap with a message encouraging naysayers to find other things
to do than make potentially disparaging remarks.

“I meant to write ‘good morning trolls!'” she
wrote. “I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human
interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you’ve never
met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone.”

Amy went on to explain that she’s comfortable with her body, but
capped off the note with a dose of her trademark self-deprecating humor.

“This is how I look. I feel happy,” she
continued.  “I think I look strong and healthy and also like miss
trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!”

Fans flooded the comment section with positive feedback
celebrating Amy’s straightforward message, but it’s not the first time she’s
delivered it.

In April, she shared another beachside post following her
surprise over being included in Glamour’s plus-size issue.

“Bottom line seems to be we are done with these unnecessary labels which seem to be reserved for women,” she tweeted at the time, accompanying a video clip of herself running in the sand with a kite.

Amy is currently on vacation in Hawaii with her boyfriend of six months, Ben Hanisch. The 34-year-old commemorated their anniversary on Instagram with a sweet selfie of him and Amy smiling on a boat.

“I couldn’t be any happier,” he wrote of his relationship with the
comedian.
