Andy Dick Plans On ‘Attacking’ Dancing With The Stars

Andy Dick might be known for making jokes (and headlines), but the new “Dancing with the Stars” contestant is planning on giving it his all while in the ballroom.

“I think he’s going to shock you, he actually has a little bit of dance talent in there,” Andy’s pro partner, Sharna Burgess, told Billy Bush and guest co-host Holly Robinson Peete on Friday’s Access Hollywood Live.

Andy, who says he was asked to appear on the ABC series during its first season, is looking forward to the challenge.

“I am ready for something like this, because I don’t know what the hell I’m doing and I’m attacking it like used to when I first got to town,” he told Billy and Holly.

“I am a butterfly coming out of the cocoon,” he added with a laugh.

The actor/comedian, who has had his share of stints in rehab over the years, explained to Billy and Holly that he’s currently in a good place.

“I’m sober… you can tell when I’m not,” he said.

Sharna is staying positive about their chances of achieving ballroom glory.

“We’re going to laugh a lot, we’re going to have a lot of fun. We may go home in the first week, but we’re going to have a great time doing it,” she said.

“Dancing with the Stars” premieres March 18 at 8/7c on ABC.
