Andy Samberg’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ Emmys Joke

“Game of Thrones” won big at the Emmys on Sunday night, taking home multiple awards, including Best Drama and Best Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage.

Adding to the celebration was “GoT” creator George R.R. Martin’s 67th birthday on Sunday night, and apparently, all the festivities had GRRM in a giving mood, as he gave Emmys host Andy Samberg some major “Thrones” scoop.

“Happy birthday, George, and thanks for telling me during the commercial that Jon Snow is alive,” Andy joked from next to GRRM in the audience, causing George to laugh and series executive producer David Benioff (who was seated directly behind George) to just shake his head.

Of course, it was a joke around the biggest question mark hanging over the future of the “Thrones” series – is Kit Harington’s Jon Snow really dead?

Feel free to enjoy Benioff’s head shake over and over… and over and over…
