Angelina Jolie Talks Being Brad Pitt’s Boss On ‘By The Sea’

Angelina
Jolie enjoyed teaming up on screen with husband
Brad Pitt in their upcoming drama, “By the
Sea.”

“It was wonderful. It’s
a very, very different film,” the actress said on
Thursday night, at the film’s Hollywood premiere, of working with Brad on the movie, which is
a major departure from their last film together, 2005’s “Mr. & Mrs.
Smith.”

“The first film we had a
lot of fun because of the subject matter. And this film it’s very, very heavy…
it’s not really fun, but the pleasure is breaking through something together
and pushing each other and getting to the other end of it and learning
something about each other,” the Oscar winner, who wrote, directed and produced the film, told reporters.
“So, that was good, but it wasn’t easy.”

Brad echoed his wife’s
sentiments about the heaviness of the film, which Angelina also wrote.

“It’s not always a
pleasurable place to be as far as the scenes are concerned,” Brad told
Access. “But we work so well together. We go home together and we get up
and go to work together. It was a great experience, it really was.”

And how did Brad and Angelina
leave the intensity of the film’s subject matter at the office?

“Well, six kids pretty
much defines that. They need you,” the actor told Access.

“By the Sea” opens
