Anna Paquin: ‘I Have A Side That’s Very Nesty’

Anna Paquin isn’t one to sit around the house.

Speaking about motherhood with Redbook magazine, which features the “True Blood” star on its August cover, the pregnant actress revealed she’s not a total homebody.

“I have a side that’s very nesty, and another that thinks, ‘Let’s lock up the house and go away for five months,’” she told the mag.

In the interview, Anna also talked “True Blood,” revealing how she actually got the role of plucky waitress and fairy Sookie Stackhouse, five seasons ago.

“I’m a big believer in ‘fake it to make it’. I went out and bought some incredibly short shorts and a push-up bra that I knew were going to be a part of my new life,” she said. “It’s not that I’m a prude, but I’m not a massive exhibitionist, either.”

And she doesn’t have a problem with those love scenes – like the ones last season with co-star Alexander Skarsgard, who plays vampire Eric Northman.

“We feel completely comfortable together. [My husband] Steve [Moyer] and Alex are buddies,” she said. “It’s nothing like, ‘Oh, hi, nice to meet you. Now let’s take off our clothes and go into the fog.’ Everyone is very respectful of each other’s boundaries…They’re all very gentlemanly about it.”
