Another Finalist Eliminated On ‘American Idol’

“American Idol” parted ways with another contestant on Thursday, as the judges failed to use their save.

(SPOILER – this story contains the results of “American Idol’s” Thursday show.)

She drastically changed her look, but the big-voiced Erika Van Pelt couldn’t do anything to change the minds of America, who left her with the fewest votes after she performed a Billy Joel hit on Wednesday evening.

Nor could Erika change the minds of the judges with her rendition of “I Believe in You and Me,” which she performed, hoping to earn the judges’ save.

“Will you use your one save of the season on Erika?” host Ryan Seacrest asked.

“Unfortunately, Ryan, uh, no, sorry,” Randy Jackson replied.

Before her elimination, Erika was joined in the Bottom 3 by DeAndre Brackensick and Heejun Han. DeAndre was the first of the Bottom 3 told he was safe.
