‘Arrow’: ‘The Fallen’ Episode Preview

Matt Nable and Stephen Amell in ‘Arrow’ (The CW)

“Arrow” is back on Wednesday night, and with Thea Queen’s life in the balance, Oliver has no one to turn to but the very man who inflicted her injuries.

Ra’s al Ghul is making the Lazarus Pit available to save Thea Queen’s life, but only if Oliver accepts his offer to become the next Ra’s. But, Team Arrow is coming along on this trip to Nanda Parbat (Malcolm Merlyn too) and they aren’t about to let Oliver accept those deal terms.

Here are a few moments to look our for in Wednesday night’s episode, “The Fallen”:

Ray & Felicity

That look Ray had at the end of last week’s episode, after watching Felicity hug Oliver following the goodbye to Roy Harper, will be addressed in this week’s episode. Ray Palmer will definitely be talking to his girlfriend about what he saw.

Airplane Confessional

We don’t want to give it away, but there is a really sweet moment between Oliver and Felicity on the jet ride to Nanda Parbat (Ray’s jet, actually). At one of his darkest moments, when he fears losing his last remaining family member, Oliver gets really honest with Felicity.

Nanda Parbat

Expect to finally explore the home base of The League of Assassins, including seeing how great their numbers are (look out for Diggle’s reaction), and the splendors of the secret city.

The Lazarus Pit

It’s helped Ra’s al Ghul live for over 100 years (by Malcolm Merlyn’s count), and in Wednesday’s episode, the Lazarus Pit is the option Oliver turns to, to save Thea, who begins the episode on death’s door. While Ra’s may take dips in the pool on his own, expect when it’s used on Thea Queen it’ll feature some serious pageantry and a priestess. But, the pit’s restorative properties aren’t FDA approved. As fans will see, this treatment is worth filing under “experimental.”

Felicity & Ra’s

Emily Bett Rickards has chemistry with everyone she seems to come into contact with as Felicity Smoak on “Arrow,” and fans can expect sparks to fly when she meets Ra’s al Ghul too (of a different kind).

Diggle & Maseo

Both Diggle and Maseo have worked with and helped Oliver at different times in their lives, but in Wednesday’s episode, they’ll be on different sides. Only one of them can win.
