Jessica Simpson’s daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson, has only been here for just a day and she already has two huge fans.
“Bronx and I are in love with Maxwell already!” Jessica’s sister, Ashlee Simpson – mom to 3-year-old son Bronx – told People.
“Jessica has wanted to be a mom since we were little girls,” Ashlee continued. “I couldn’t be more excited for her and Eric!”
Ashlee started showering her niece even before she arrived. According to the mag, Ashlee got Maxwell a Fendi dress and matching garment bag at Jessica’s “Charlotte’s Web”-themed baby shower in March.
“Ever since Ashlee had Bronx, we’ve become closer and closer,” Jessica told the mag at the time. “I’m glad that our babies are just going to be three years apart.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jessica and fiance Eric Johnson welcomed their bundle of joy on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson,” the star said in a message posted on her personal website on Tuesday morning. “We are so grateful for all the love support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!”
The couple’s baby weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 ounces and measured 21.75 inches.
