Ashley Monroe Talks Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton’s Support

Country singer Ashley Monroe has two superstars – Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton – championing her album, “The Blade,” and it means the world to her.

The breakout star sat down with Access Hollywood guest correspondent Scott Evans where she talked her friends’ support, her new album and what it was like having Miranda recently join her on stage.

Miranda Lambert and Blake recently gave Ashley major shout out on Twitter praising her album and telling their fans to go out and get her album.

“Blake’s one of my best friends and so is Miranda,” Ashley said. “[Blake] kind of gave me a heads up. He was like, ‘We’re gonna be doing something,’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh what?’ But then I saw the Tweets and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! That’s amazing. They’re drawing attention to me.'”

Adding, “I saw the Tweet I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh guys. It’s amazing! Thank you so much, I love you.'”

Ashley also shared the stage with Miranda last week in Nashville, where they performed multiple songs together, including “Heart Like Mine,” which Miranda co-wrote.

“I loved it,” she said of performing with her Pistol Annies bandmate. “Miranda’s obviously my best friend in the world. So, she would do anything for me… she just decided [to sing with me] on the fly… she was probably a couple cocktails in, a little more loose. But, I talked to her the next day. She didn’t regret it. It’s all good.”

Ashley’s album has garnered tons of buzz, including Rolling Stone calling it one of the year’s best album, but the singer told Access she’s trying to keep herself grounded.

“I take one day at a time. I think the more I plan how things are going to turn out, the more they don’t go that way, that’s just part of life,” she explained “As soon as I wake up every day and I’m grateful for what I’m doing. I’m happy where I’m at. I love my new record. I’m proud of it. Then that’s all I can do and the rest is just up to the universe, I suppose.”

On Monday, Ashley announced on Monday that she is kicking off a fall tour on October 1 in Macon, Georgia.
